Since it’s not possible for everyone to park his or her beloved car inside the living room, an engine block coffee table seems a cool way to show your auto enthusiasm. Pictured above is a complete 1:1 scale wooden replica of a Chevrolet 350 Engine, which has been handcrafted by Steve Brandenburg of Brandenburg WoodWorks. A cabinetmaker from Lexington, KY, Steve Brandenburg has a strong passion for automotive restoration, which he combines with his woodworking experience to create fine works of art. This 1:1 scaled wooden replica of the Chevy 350 Engine was his first auto-inspired piece that was made from Cherry and Tiger Maple.
The replica was originally designed as personal piece to serve as a coffee table in his living room. However, after receiving an overwhelming response from people, he decided on carving more auto themed pieces. Among other works, Steve is currently looking to create Ford Flathead V8 Engine with three deuces out of beautiful hardwoods.
