Let’s face it, no one really like to do the laundry and most of the days we all wish we could have one of those magical robot maids that would wash our clothes for us. But I suppose the way designer Guopeng Liang has shown us is much more practical than robotic domestic help. Introducing the revolutionary iBasket, a fun and easy washing machine right from the realms of the future.

One of the top nine finalists at the Electrolux Design Lab ’08, the design features an all clear cylindrical body crafted in acrylic glass, engineered plastic and recycled aluminum and comes specially programmed to automatically trigger washing once a specific weight is accrued which means you can keep dunking in your dirty garbs till the load is full.

Once filled, the machine quietly cleans your washables letting its built-in air refresh system removes any odors that might have crept in. When the wash cycle is complete, the basket flashes the LEDs fixed at bottom and sends “work done” message to your PC or cellphone via a wireless connection. If it could only learn how to cook, I’d marry this baby in a heartbeat!
