Irregular and out-of-the-ordinary bookcase and display shelf designs are all the rage these days. Joining the prestigious league of designer displays is the Melody bookcase and display shelf created by Neuland Industriedesign for MDF Italia. The bookcase is designed to display books horizontally with standard compartments being replaced with a zigzag mesh of surfaces that make the shelf a unique entity in its own right. The design is so contrived that it can even be turned upside down to create a mirror image and discontinuity within the setup. Made in MD wood fiberboards and finished in white lacquer, the Melody bookcase creates a dramatic impact in any contemporary minimalist décor with its simplicity and elegance.

Melody bookcase and display shelf

i like several things about this bookcase. firstl;y, i have this thing for white pieces of furniture. they can be difficult to maintain, but nothing can be more elegant than them. then, i like the zigzag shelves, a refreshing change from straight ones. last but not the list, i like it that its so big. all my books and the stuff i want to display would fit into it. however, i ddint understand what the term ’melody’ is doing in its name. it hardly matters though.
the best thing about this book rack is that it will help me display my collection of big, small, bulky and pricely books. But why the name melody...?
